Equine Dental Abnormalities Charts
These charts were developed by a veterinarian to show his clients detailed
pictures of many dental problems. Collectively five different skulls would be
required to show the abnormalities depicted on these charts. The charts are
available two ways. Either as a large wall chart showing all of the
abnormalities in one view or as a spiral bound, eight-page, 10" x
15", flip-chart series showing selected abnormalities on each page. Both
versions are full color and laminated to protect them. Also available is
a pamphlet version that is designed to be a client hand-out. All three
are full color.

This plastic skull replica is actual size and is based on a fifteen year
old quarter horse. The model comes with a replication of the horse's original
teeth and demonstrates a number of dental conditions. The teeth are removable
and made out of a composite material which is used in human dentistry for
restorations. They can be corrected for demonstration purposes or for client
education purposes.
An Equine Teeth Model is also availablel. This can be used to
replace teeth in the skull or as a stand-alone example of various dental

We offer two combination Invoice/Dental Charts for billing your client and
documenting your work. Both are 8 1-2" wide x 11" high on 2-part NCR
paper.
One was developed by Dr. Tom Allen and featured in his book
"Manual of Equine Dentistry". The dental chart portion shows a front
view of the mouth and side views showing each of the dental quadrants. The
billing portion features an area to write-in the specifics of the client and
patient, the services performed and the charges plus follow-up instructions
and comments. There is room to use a rubber stamp to imprint practice
information.
The second shows a front view
of the mouth with a top view of each tooth immediately next to it. Thus, tooth
abnormalities can be noted in a 3-dimensional view on the chart using the
coding system itemized below the diagram. There is also space to note the pre
and post float amount of interocclusal space, surface angles and percentage of
occlusion. There is adequate room and many predefined categories to itemize
billing.
